AI-ENABLED DRONE TECHNOLOGIES FOR SOCIETAL AND INDUSTRIAL IMPACT
This workshop is organized by the centre for artificial intelligence in collaboration with the Human Resource development in Unmanned Aircraft Systems ( Drone and related Technology) Project Team at NIT , Jalandhar, has been a pivotal platform for this journey to all the participants. It focused on integrating AI with drones to create intelligent , scalable solutions aligning with the India-AI Mission 2026 and the SwaYaan project to strengthen India’s UAS Ecosystem and build a global drone hub.

Bharat Nav Nirman Challenge is India’s biggest inter-college core engineering competition, organized by The Times of India in partnership with NICMAR and supported by AICTE.
This national initiative promotes innovation by encouraging pre-final and final year students of Civil Engineering, core engineering, architecture, and built environment disciplines to develop solutions to real-world challenges shaping the future of India’s infrastructure.

Gulzar Group Signs MoU with IBM to Strengthen Industry-Ready Technical Education
In a significant step toward strengthening industry–academia collaboration, the Gulzar Group of Institutes has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with global IT leader IBM. The agreement, formalized during a special on-campus ceremony, is aimed at enhancing technical education, fostering innovation, and promoting skill development among students.
The partnership will provide learners with hands-on exposure to industry-relevant technologies and practices, helping bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world requirements. The MoU was signed by Gurkirat Singh, Executive Director of the Gulzar Group, and Aman Bakshi from IBM’s Growth Initiatives team. As part of the collaboration, students will gain access to IBM’s advanced tools, resources, and global expertise.
Mechanical Engineering Students Explore Future of Farming at India Agri Expo 2026
Mechanical Engineering students from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year recently explored advanced hydraulics, automated tractors, and innovative dairy technology at the India Agri Expo 2026, witnessing how precision mechanical design solves critical global food security challenges.
AI for Atmanirbhar Bharat — Campus AI Short Video Competition
As part of the India AI Impact Summit 2026, the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Gulzar Group of Institutions invites departments to submit short videos showcasing AI initiatives on campus. Selected entries will be featured on the Ministry of Education’s national portal.
Suggested Themes (with duration):
• Faculty Spotlight — Faculty interviews on AI research (2–5 minutes)
• AI in Campus Life — AI use in academics, administration, or student activities (5–7 minutes)
• Student Projects Showcase — Student AI projects with demos (5–7 minutes)
• AI Tools Tutorial — Practical tutorials on AI tools (2–5 minutes)
• AI Career Stories — Alumni or senior student testimonials (2–5 minutes)
Video Should Include:
• How AI is taught at GGI
• Ongoing AI research on campus
• Practical AI applications by students

Hands-On Mentorship Webinar Planned for AIthon 2026 Winning Teams
As part of the commitments made during AIthon 2026, a Hands-On Mentorship and Guidance Webinar has been scheduled exclusively for the winning teams of the hackathon.
The session aims to provide strategic mentorship, support the refinement of innovative ideas, and guide participants on the next steps toward product development, incubation, and potential commercialization within the institutional incubation framework.
The webinar will be delivered by Mr. Rohit Raaj, a seasoned industry professional with extensive leadership experience. He has previously served as National Activation Head at VIP Industries and held senior leadership roles with reputed organizations such as the Aditya Birla Group and the Future Group. His industry insights and hands-on expertise will add significant value to the mentoring process.
