At GGI, we offer a Bachelor of Tourism & Travel Management (BTTM), a four-year full-time degree program approved by UGC. The Bachelor of Tourism & Travel Management program at Gulzar Group of Institutions offers a comprehensive curriculum spanning eight semesters.

Tourism: Concept, Status, and Trends is a core subject that explores the fundamentals of tourism, current industry status, and emerging trends. Topics include tourism definitions, market dynamics, and evolving travel patterns. 

Geography for Tourism is a foundational course focusing on the geographical aspects crucial for the tourism industry. It covers physical landscapes, climate patterns, cultural regions, and their impact on travel and tourism. 

Indian Society and Culture explores the diverse social structures, cultural traditions, and historical influences shaping contemporary India. Topics include social norms, festivals, rituals, and their significance in the tourism industry.

Computer Operations covers fundamental skills in using and managing computer systems. Topics include operating systems, software applications, data management, and troubleshooting, essential for efficient functioning in various professional environments. 

Introduction to Hospitality Industry provides a comprehensive overview of the hospitality sector. It covers key areas such as hotel management, customer service, food and beverage operations, and tourism, laying a foundation for careers in this dynamic field.

English is a core subject in the BTTM program that develops students’ proficiency in communication, both written and spoken, essential for effective interaction in the tourism and hospitality industry.

Human Values, Deaddiction, and Traffic Rules is a course that emphasizes ethical principles, addiction prevention, and adherence to traffic regulations. It aims to instill responsible behaviour and societal awareness in students.

 

Components of Tourism is a course that explores the essential elements of the tourism industry, including attractions, accommodations, transportation, and services. It provides a comprehensive understanding of how these components interact to create tourism experiences. 

Tourism Products of India: Punjab and Chandigarh Region is a course focusing on the unique attractions and cultural experiences offered in Punjab and Chandigarh. Topics include historical sites, local festivals, cuisine, and heritage tourism.

Tourism Products of India: Art and Architecture explores India’s rich artistic heritage and architectural marvels. The course covers historical monuments, traditional art forms, and architectural styles that attract tourists.

Tourism Products of India: Nature-Based focuses on India’s diverse natural attractions, including wildlife sanctuaries, national parks, and scenic landscapes. The course highlights eco-tourism, conservation efforts, and sustainable travel practices in natural settings.

Air Travel Management covers the essentials of managing air travel operations, including flight scheduling, ticketing, reservation systems, and customer service. The course also addresses aviation regulations, airline safety standards, and the dynamics of the air travel industry. 

Environmental Science explores the interaction between humans and the environment, focusing on ecological balance, conservation, and sustainable practices. Topics include environmental pollution, natural resource management, and the impact of human activities on ecosystems. 

Travel Agency and Tour Operations covers the planning and management of travel services, including booking, itinerary creation, and customer service. Topics include tour planning, client consultation, travel regulations, and marketing strategies for agencies.

Principles of Management explores foundational concepts and practices in management, including planning, organising, leading, and controlling. It emphasises effective decision-making, leadership skills, and strategic thinking in organisational settings.

Essentials of Tour Guiding covers fundamental skills and knowledge required for effective tour guiding, including communication, cultural awareness, safety protocols, and local attractions. It equips students with the tools to provide informative and engaging tours.

Introduction to Event Management provides foundational knowledge on planning, organising, and executing various events. It covers key aspects like event design, budgeting, logistics, and marketing, preparing students to manage successful events across diverse settings.

Tourism Impacts examines the effects of tourism on destinations, including economic, social, and environmental aspects. It explores how tourism can influence local communities, infrastructure, and ecosystems, both positively and negatively.

Tourism Product of India: Cultural Heritage focuses on India’s rich cultural assets, including historical sites, monuments, festivals, and traditional arts. It highlights how these elements attract tourists and contribute to preserving India’s cultural legacy.

Special Interest Tourism delves into niche travel experiences tailored to specific interests, such as adventure, wildlife, wellness, or culinary tourism. It emphasises personalised travel experiences that cater to unique passions and hobbies.

Basics of Entrepreneurship introduces key concepts and skills necessary for starting and managing a business. Outbound Tour Operations focuses on organising and managing travel arrangements for tours departing from one country to destinations abroad. Service Marketing involves strategies and practices to promote and sell services rather than physical products.
