What is ERP?

ERP stands for Enterprise Resource Planning and is an integrated information system that serves all departments within an enterprise. ERP is packaged software rather than proprietary software written by or for one customer.
ERP systems designed for higher education institutions typically also feature modules to support admissions, records and registration, financial aid and student accounts activities.
This is very innovative project. Proposed students ERP package will integrate colleges with parents who can watch his child performance, comments and appreciation online. This will also help colleges administration where they can announce results online and give updates about colleges holidays, fees payments and special functionsheld at colleges. Just a vague idea but it can become a very powerful to integrate three different entities.
-

-
Parents database maintenance
-

-

Record maintenance of students mark sheets and awards

Colleges administration updates directly come to student portals and he/she can view marks online
The college has a multi dimensional and multi functional ERP software.
The software has various modules related to day-to-day activities
The database stores all the information of the students related to marks, attendance, books issued from library, fees paid, due etc.
The second phase of software will include submitting assignments online and e- learning. Students will be able to receive notes given by their teachers thereby making learning more effective.
Another major advantage of the ERP solution will be GGI's endeavor of being a paperless organization and making e-governance possible
