GGI organized a two days mega event “ROBOMANIA 2018” at its campus on 16th and 17th of February 2018.  A large number of students from various professional colleges and institutes across India participated in ROBOMANIA 2018. A range of technical events held for students to display their prowess in the areas of Mechatronics and Robotics in particular and other areas of engineering in general. The event had lots of other activities which were informative and entertaining.

The students participated in the Technical events like Robo Race, 4G Robo, Mud Rally, Sumobot, Quadcopter Mania and Business Mania events like Biz Quiz, Talk on theme, Walk the sale, Ad Mad Show, Head Scratch and Literary & Artists events as Debate, JAM, Picto, Extempore, Creative writing, Poster Making, Photography and best out of waste.

The cultural events were also held where the students participated whole heartedly in Fashion Show (Sponser N Concept by Oyester) and other events. There was a performance by the International Band (Quissa) and the evening was thrilled by the International DJ.

Students from the International Community from Nepal, Africa and Yemen had given performances to the audience.

The Chief Guest for 16th February 2018 was S.Partap Singh Ji from the USA and Chief Guest of 17th February 2018 were Dr. Amanpreet Singh and Guest ofHonor was Dr. Sukhbir Singh from I K G PTU Jalandhar.

On 17th February 2018 the star night by Ranjit Bawa was spectacular and central attraction of the event. The Punjabi Singer presented many fascinating performances. Dazzling performance by him enthralled the audience. He belted out his famous tracks. The Musical evening culminated with the Blockbuster performances by the invited musical star. Gatka performance was also given by the students of Gulzar Group of Institutes in this evening.

It was graced by singing a few feet tapping Punjabi Songs where the audience vibrated to his music beats. GGI campus boomed with sounds of clapping and roars. The spectacular performance and scintillating event demonstration added rhythm and enthralled the audience.

Gurkirat Singh, the Executive Director of GGI said that the event saw an incorporation of creativity, talent and innovation. Although knowledge of different subjects is imparted through books but competitions turn them into reality and give practical information as well as become helpful for their professional life.

The Chairman of GGI, S.Gurcharan Singh applauded the students for their novel ideas which would help the world to become a much better place to live in. He also expressed gratitude to all the participating teams for making this event a success and appreciated their novel projects and summed up the true essence of this exhibition by saying Technology gives us tools of immense power.
