I have completed my doctorate from the Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore. Prior to my doctorate, I pursued my Masters (PGDM) from IMT-Ghaziabad with specialization in Finance. I have a bachelor’s degree (BTech.) in Computer Science and Engineering.

My research interests are in the area of Quantitative Finance, Risk Management, Financial Econometrics and Financial Derivatives. My thesis aims at exploring ways to improve the estimation of risk with application to stocks and options. It deals with theoretical work like finding the first passage probabilities for a Pearson Diffusion Process as well as empirical work on estimating the risk for options.

I have presented my work in several reputed international as well as domestic conferences including IFABS, MFS, ICFMCF, IFC, CERE (adjudged best paper award) etc. I am also a member of Professional bodies like The Society for Financial Econometrics and the American Risk and Insurance Association.

Arun Kumar Kaushik received his Doctorate degree as full-time sponsored research scholar, working on research area related to ‘consumer innovativeness’ at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, India. He has also obtained two post-graduation degrees – Master of Business Administration and Master of Commerce with a Marketing specialization from two reputed Indian Universities. Before joining IIM Amritsar in June 2017, he has worked as full-time faculty with reputed B-schools in India. He has nearly ten years of experience in academic, research and the corporate world. His areas of interest include Marketing, Consumer behaviour, Innovation adoption, and destination branding. He has published many research papers in reputed indexed journals such as Journal of Services Marketing, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Journal of Travel & Tourism Marketing, Journal of Vacation Marketing, Service Business, Information Technology for Development, Tourism Management Perspectives, International Journal of Bank Marketing, Journal of International Consumer Marketing, etc.

He is currently working in the area of self-service technology (SST) adoption and destination branding. One of his working papers focuses on the relationship of destination brand experience and tourist behaviour, where the researcher(s) is trying to suggest how destination marketers can build trust and loyalty among tourists by emphasizing on various components (sensory, affective, intellectual and behavioural) of the brand experience. Another working paper focusing on “identifying and examining drivers and outcomes of consumers’ trust toward online travel apps”, seeks to provide a framework to evaluate the consumers’ trust regarding the adoption and acceptance of various travel apps in India. This study provides useful insights to service providers and policy makers for developing new strategies and policies that will enhance adoption of such mobile apps. He actively participates as a reviewer in some of the renowned journals including European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Telematics and Informatics among others.
